Hi there all, been having a few problems with my current setup (see sig) the main problem is here

However, what I am asking is has anyone got the same combo as me, and using 2 devices on the IDE slot? Becase for some stupid reason if I plug in one device on my IDE port my HDD works fine, but soon as I plug the optical in, it stops working....weird :confused:

I have ordered an SATA HDD which should arrive, but I just wanted to know if maybe there was a problem with using 2 devices on a ds3 on the IDE port.....

Sounds Silly But you dont have them both set as slave or master do you or one as cable selct and one as master so it causes conflicts

I've got one set as master and the other as slave, I've tried different cables, cable select, swapping them as master and slave and still the same problem
