i need a new games system, i mainly play EVE, anything is better than ive got now. i need a budget system so im happy wiv the case and power supply i have already and to run with my existing graphics card untill new year (geforce 7600gs) also run xp as i already have it. thanks a noob;)
 
Whats your current system, what brand/Wattage is your PSU.

Is your graphics card AGP or PCI-E. This will influence the new system.
 
The best mobo

As it allows you to carry on using your agp card but to upgrade tp pci in future.

How much have you to spend?

Apart from eve do you have many other games? keep a lot vids,music etc
Also do you do any video or picture editing?
 
no mainly just eve, pic and vids i currently keep on exrenal, as hard drive is tiny. and i need to do some video editing but it takes me ages and eve if far more tempting. no music. the budget i guess £200 - £300

But After a little thinking you could go for.

This hard drive suits both 500gb Seagate barrcuda £43

Now belive it or not the second choice will actutally be faster the 780g is by far the best onboard grapics there is offering preformace similar to that of the 3450 or 8500 which are far better than your 7600. The processor has the same clock speed as is easly overcloakable. Also this board allows for faster Ram 800mz instead of 667mz.

I personally would choose the second option as its a much better board & then buy a 4850 or 4870 in the new year. Also If you choose this methord stick your old 7600, ram, mobo,cpu on ebay you will be shocked by the demand.
