Well I think... via the internet. I'm afraid it isn't exactly The Matrix.

So tonight I go onto my Gmail and see a transaction receipt from Paypal for 130 quid for some computer parts, I DID NOT order, so after I dropped one from that, I changed my password, secret question etc. I then reported it to Paypal (still don't know what to expect as this has never happened to me before) So I'm worried over this too...

I'm looking on the internet for advice the Paypal transaction, Then I notice this email (my homepage is the Google custom page) as I open a new window. I open it and its got all the apps and info about my computer, its then got random typed words like a code or something (I don't know code so I wouldn't know!) It's really weird, my knoledge on internet secruity isnt good, (Trojan's etc, I don't know tbh, I know I should!) So what the hell, I have deleted it... surely something must be on my computer though, and I'm wondering its related to the Paypal incident.

It's titled KOVAC - Feedback Form

this is the sort of crap it says

Again, its just pages and pages of this and updates every hour or so (says I have sent an email to myself).

Can anyone help shed light on this or help in any way?

I wasn't sure where to post this... please move it if their is a more suitable section. Thanks.

I would install a decent anti virus or format and install windows again to save any hassle.I would guess that could be some sort of keylogger, bottom text looks like a chat in some sort of foreign language Russian or something,if it was me i would run a decent anti virus or format.

Definitely get some anti-virus running on your machine. I would also change to a completely different computer [after checking it for viruses] and change all my passwords for everything.

Is it just me or does that look like the output from a keylogger? using the wasd keys to move and a couple of crouches thrown in?

I'd do a full format and reinstall and get some AV on their straight away.

Certainly looks like output from a keylogger, and it looks like you have been playing a game.

Bad news if it is, as any usernames/passwords you have entered will have been sent somewhere. Firstly, use another computer to change all passwords to anything you have accessed online. Then check all your accounts for any fraudulent activity.
Check your banks/email accounts forums/ ebay/ paypal etc, as any of them could be compromised.

It's really important you use a safe computer for this, to make sure you're not risking providing the receipient with all of your login details

I'd do this before wasting any time sorting your computer out. Just switch it off and concentrate on securing your accounts.

Blooming good idea. Download an Ubuntu Live CD. This should work for almost 95% percent of setups (wifi might be a bit tricky though. I know i couldnt get onto my wifi network with WPA enabled when i lat played with it).

Do you have a router with hardware firewall? Any anti-virus software? First things first is to format your hard drive, then change all your on-line account details if you don't have a spare PC. Otherwise a Live linux distro is a great idea. If you do have a spare PC, change account details first, then format the hard drive and reinstall windows.

You may be able to trace where it's sending the packets. Also begin to track back through your recent online activities. Have you accepted files from anyone recently? A picture/joke/anything from a friend or MSN contact?

Back everything up and format if thats an option, then install a good virus scanner and change all your internet passwords.

Sorted!

Springs to mind.

Definitely a keylogger. Looks like you were playing CSS or something, then you were flashing your flashlight on and off and then you typed hahaha because you/someone else found it funny.

Am I right?

cr*p!

So the Paypal has been resolved, closed my account to be sure also Paypal noticed the large transaction and sorted it.

So for now change my password for everything I guess, I’m on a safe computer at the moment. although its on the same network (yes I have a network) I’ve disconnected it to be sure.

This is scary stuff, I'm going to get a AV (man have I learnt my lesson) I am pretty stupid for browsing the web without one tbh, my own fault.

Is a reformat really necessary too? Or is it just to be extra extra safe.

And yeh, I was playing episode 2 :D and Portal, both great games. Ah s***, my steam account 

Ah ****, my steam account 

Your Steam account probably isn't compromised. I've only typed my Steam password about three times in my life (every time I've installed Steam), and a keylogger only logs what you actually type. If you've set Steam to remember your password, and therefore not typed it, you should be fine.

I do apologise for my language!

right, so everything I type. Whats the deal with the email I get then? I recieve an email every 20 mins when I am on my own PC, with all the keys I have typed, why am I getting that? once that stops sending itself to me, wont that be when I know I have got rid of it?

I got his "KOVAC" email last week, I havnt typed credit card numbers in or anything, except I have logged into my paypal account, which is how they got my details.. right.
