Help Importing TV series with MP-TV series (StreamedMP)

I can't figure out how to import my TV series into media portal. Movies are fine but TV series won't import. They are all in .vob formats.

I get a list of 460 items and it asks me to input the series info and episode items which would take forever and I doubt I would get it right.

Surely there's an easier way?

You need to choose one of the regular/simple expressions that relate to the way your episodes are named, or write your own.

eg. Series name/Season 1/1x01 - Episode_name.vob

You'd use something like %sn/Season %s/%sx%0e - %en.%ext to parse your episodes.

I don't use media portal any more (I switched to Xbmc) so that string won't be exactly right for the above example.

There will be special wild cards you put in

I always name everything..

Series name SxxExx.xxx

I've never had a problem with it detecting anything with them named like that!

Media Scout is great for renaming and fetching metadata if you want to go through all your shows

Bit of a bump.

I had this working and converted a lot of my files to avi. The problem now is that I can't get MP-TV to communicate with the thetvdb.com it worked for a while but now when adding the series and searching for episode data it just says it can't connect.

Any ideas?
