I have no idea on what the latest chips are these days but this is what im after doing with the laptop

Divx to DVD convert and vice versa

Dreamweaver web design
Home movie editing with ulead vs 11
Thats it really i am looking to spend 600 at most and would be nice if i can get hi def and blue ray player with hdmi out.
