Hi ok i read that Ivybridge gets really hot. they say its hotter than the second generation cpu so i have to ask which one would benefit me for log run. My room gets very very hot already thanks to the sun and my plasma hd ready tv.
So i have to ask which cpu is best and would you recommend the Ivybridge or not?

ok so far i have thought of these parts
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9) [CMZ16GX3M4A1600C]

Asus GeForce GTX 550Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [90-C1CR70-L0UAY0YZ]

Asus P8Z68 DELUXE GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard [90-MIBGE5-G0EAY00Z] (may change this later )

now need to know what power supply should i buy i do plan on overclocking this cpu and me be the gpu but cpu i will overclock for sure.
So i need your help in picking cpu advice and power supply

My advice is that when you do choose a PSU, don't ever go for a cheap one. I can't say this enough that you should always buy a decent PSU, and you may want to look at a higher wattage one, if you ever plan to upgrade in the future, like adding another GPU etc.

IB seems to be a no brainer and the I5-K core seems to be best buy for the money.

Well that is a good idea but when the time come to upgrading again i would just buy a new one any way.

Ivy bridge do have 'heat issues' although its not a massive problem if you run at stock clocks or if you overclock it slightly. However, if you overclock it a lot you would need a good cooler.

As for the PSU I would recommend a Corsair or OCZ 600W-700W PSU. It allows room for upgrade and a 600W is not to pricy.

Hi ok so what cooler would you recommend as some times i leave my computer on over night so what would you recommend ?
Also for the cpu overclocking i am going to use Asus auto overclocking tool its the best and will restart many times to find the best stable clock speeds.

Take your time and do it properly (i.e. manually).

Hi What about this
OcUK H²Flo Extreme Liquid Dual Fan CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/1155/1156/775/AM2/AM3) [ECO II-120FB]
I think the Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXV2UK) [CMPSU-650TXV2UK]
would be good
How good is the OcUK H²Flo Extreme Liquid Dual Fan CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/1155/1156/775/AM2/AM3) [ECO II-120FB]
and is the power Power Supply ok?
