Help installing BSD Subsystem on a i Touch

You have to update your repo's ;) The ones that come with the older firmware jailbreaks are out of date.

Edit: Repos = Sources.
Edit2: download the community sources and all should be well anyway!

Tried that about 10 times now. Also tried this community source too, and restarting several times.

Same with lots of other things too.

If anyone else is unable to get BSD 2.1 or summerboard and get the package download error, I found this on ipod touch fans forum, dated today:

Add new source/repo: iappcat.com/r/4515

and in baldz source find BSD 2.1 and install it from there.

There must be something wrong with the original server or something tonight. Bad timing on my half as I had to restore today as my iPhone was playing up, springboard was everywhere and if I rebooted I was not getting past the apple logo. Fixed now though :D

Link if you wana look, few people having the same issue: http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51720

Thanks, that works except summerboard 3.2 need 1.1.3 or higher :(

I need 3.0 :/

EDIT: Fixed it, SSH and manual install for the win.... my 1.1.2 is now just like it was a few months back :D

i found that when had this problem clearing the download queue cured the prob

Yeah , it seems that if any download fails ,the failed package sits at the head of the queue without being removed. If you then try and download anything afterwards without explicitly clearing the queue it will just keep failing on the non-working one at the top of the queue.
