HELP! installing cpu first time

help i just got the asus pde board and im installing the cpu

but im scared of trying to push the lever back into place as it feels like its gonna snap? is this normal? should it be really easy to place back into the slot?

it always feels like your gonna snap the lever , its a land grid array , your pushing against 1000 odd pins that are acting like springs ! you wont break anything, you could do it a 100 times and it would be fine. Just dont lick the pins , always good advice.
