Received my Gainwood GLH GTX780 today, trying to install it into the Corsair 750W Modular PSU and having problems working out which cable goes where? I did read the instructions but these were not much help to me. Must you connect the 8pin and 6 pin connections on the GPU?
 
Problem is I've got 2 6 pin cables one I plugged into the 6 pin connector on the GPU the other end of this I plugged into the PSU But I dont have a 8 pin cable only the one which came with the GPU which has two white male 6 pin connectors. Therefore I plugged the 8 pin in can anyone assist.
 
Which corsair psu is it? And is there no 8 pin pcie modular cables, theese are in a 6 + 2 configuration, 2 of the plugs on the end unclip to convert it to a 6 pin.
 
Right I realised that there are some fixed cables so I plugged the 6+2 into the 8 pin socket of the GPU and the 6 pin socket into the other still no display it says cable not connected which is different from before my Asus Motherboard Hero made a beep and displayed D7
 
If you installed the GPU correctly yet get no response from it, it might be worth looking into your bios version and checking whether it's up to date.
 
OK stupid me hadn't put the card in firmly enough so thanks for your help I was going mad anyway at least I have a display no so will plod on, thank you for your help so far

Card working fine now so thanks once again, only thing I have noticed is I was supposed to have recieved Call of Assasins Black Flag free with this card but received no code, so I will have to chase this up tomorrow.
