Just got new set of ram from the members market however im having trouble installing it..When i put em in the clips on the end of the slots wont close and it the ram wont go in anymore (i didnt really put much force on it put the force i did put on it wouldve pushed it down more if there was space..) so i though maybe thats the way it was supposed to be and just left it turned my pc on and it wouldnt go past the bios screen. so ive kinda narrowed it down to a couple things..

is it my ram setting in my bios for my current ram that maybe stopping it? its onl value ram running 2.7v and from the reviews ive read on the internet this ram can run on much higher voltages..my ram isnt overclocked either its running at 200mhz on 5:6 divider..

is it that ive got three sticks of ram and an overclocked processor?

or is the ram dead?

well im pretty sure it was the right way round so i dont think thats the problem...ive go an asus a8n-sli deluxe guess i was lucky i didnt fry my mobo :S the ram is Corsair Platinum Series pc3200 ddr1 ram..im not 100% how much pressure i should be putting on it but im scared im gonna snap the mobo or something..

yep pushed down harder this time and got them in everythings running fine now..guess i was lucky not fry anything..

err scratch that cpu-z says ive got 2gb which is what it should be but my system and just about everything else incl task manager tells me ive only got 1.5gb :/

so basically ive got no chance of getting 2gb but i might as well keep it in there since im getting an extra 512mb or will keeping it in there affect performance?
