Help installing VBulletin

I really need help installing a VB forum. I don't know anything about databases
When I install vb it says "The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file." What does that mean? I have already set up a MySQL database and copied the databse name in the config file

You also need to give a username and password - double-check the values.

Yeah, make sure you've added the username to the database in cpanel, and then change the values in the config file under /includes/ to your DB name, User name and password.

I forgot to mention that The username and password were already setup.

One thing - on most shared hosting systems if you create a database and call it 'hello' then the actual database name will be [your username]_hello. ie, prefixed with your username and an underscore.

This can apply to the database user, too.
