Although generally installed over an existing version of Windows, when I first installed my version, I did it on a blank drive. I'm now trying to do it all over again with my new SSD, but it's not accepting my product key. I do have genuine keys of my old XP and Vista, but I'm not sure how to set it up.

I've checked an online guide (custom install), but as soon as I have to enter the product key, it fails.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm back.

So, you can install Win7 Upgrade fresh onto a new disk. Just make sure you don't tick 'Automatically Activate Windows When I'm Online', because if you do, it won't let you load windows. Uncheck it, and it still won't let you pass. You have to start installing from scratch, and uncheck it first go.
