help internet cuts out

hey all.
i got a new build, a 4600+ dfi ultraD and my old netgear wireless stick. My wireless modem router is a netgear DG834G

anyway on my new build the interent works then after a random time cuts out. The signal is good, and my pc is still connected to the router, but sometimes i am having to wait aggggggggges for it to find the IP and properly connect, and then sometimes its all conencted but no pages load. i have formatted several times and the problem still occurs. this problem never happened with my old nf2 board. The wireless stick and the router are not new i have had them for about a year now. any ideas anyone please please

What firmware revision does the Netgear router have?

erm 3 point something. i checked erlier on today on the website its the latest version. the internet stil lworks on the wireless laptop when the desktop is playing up. the netgear firmware is the latest and so is the usb wireless stick's driver.

Netgear wireless stick overheating (if its USB)? Can you try PCI?

hmm. it does get very hot i must say. got an old pci one but its B not G and would mean i have to move the pc halfway acros the house for it to pick it up its just wierd that its connected according to the wireless but any internet pages refuse to load. today i noticed that bitcomet and msn are continuing to work. very strange. thanks for the replies tho
