HI

just purchased a IP35 pro XE off the MM. Put the system together and getting a C1 post error reading. This relates to the memory and i suspect that there is not enough voltage on the motherboards default settings to power the ram.

I have tried:

- Reseting the CMOS (removed battery, changed jumpers etc)
- Various combinations of ram in all sockets. (tried different voltage ratings of ram 1.8 and 2.1)
- Tried another graphics card
- Tried a different CPU
- Resat everything multiple times

All components were taken from a working machine. Spec is as follows:

Intel C2D 8400
4gb Kingston HyperX DDR2 8500 (2x2gb)
GTX285

Basically i need to up the voltage i think, but can't boot to change the settings :s

Any suggestions please!

Have you tried holding the INSERT key before powering on, and keep it held whilst pressing the button?

Oh and CMOS reset - full 15mins with battery out, no less. These boards are odd that way.

EDIT - also make sure you have RAM that is on this list for it to boot at stock... http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2236705&postcount=1

EDIT2 - try reseating the RAM (1 stick only) in SLOT 1, and hold the board flat as you press it well home, as sometimes the board can flex a little, preventing good contact.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I had the battery out for about 10mins, i will try again for a bit longer.

I did try some 1.8v DDR2 5300 ram and some Corsair CM2X512-6400C4 (XMS2-6400) its not on the list though. Unfortunately i dont have any of the ram that is on that list :(
