Help IPOD SHUFFLE 1st GEN

im getting this problem where my ipod shuffle is saying that "the disk cannot be read from or written too" this now means that i can no longer add tracks, delete tracks. ive tried reformatting it but nothing has changed.

can anyone help me out?

have you tried the new firmware reset utility that came out last week?
