Hi guys

newbie here so be gentle

I recently bought Intel Core i5 4690K bundle which mean the cpu was overclocked from 3.5ghz to 4.2ghz.

I have 16gb ddr3 ram and the Asus Z97-K Motherboard.

I have loaded the OCUK file on BIOS and took a few photos.

Now when I check my cpu speed in CPU ID and windows it still registering 3.5ghz as well in BIOS.

Need help please.

thanks

thanks for the response. ive followed that step a million times :(

seems like something has been missed by overclockers when they set it up.

heres the screenshot

I think your CPU was in 'power saving' mode there, could you run something slightly intensive in the background and then take the picture? Will be at full on clocks then

Looks like that is fine but I'm not 100% sure, best wait for someone who knows more about overclocking to get in
It may well be running at the boost clock all the time, but I can't be sure

I believe turning SpeedStep off in your BIOS will make your cpu run @ max all the time.

It will, but the only reason to do that is if you are pushing a very high overclock. For 4-4.5GHZ (these days anyway!) speedstep on will keep temps down and save energy.
