Hello again, im running an Q9550 c1 chip in an XFX 790i board with the latest bios. The wierd thing is the idle temperatures which are 40,36,41,38 seem abit high for the loop im running consisting of 12V Laing DDC-1T Pro (10w), Black Ice GT Stealth 120, Swiftech Apogee GTZ and a XSPC Single Bay Reservoir. My first thought was thermal paste so i changed it and no differance, then thought the Noctura fan was not compatable (1200Rpm) so changed it for Coolermaster and no luck. Please help as im stumped and the missus is getting peved at the computer "with its guts hanging out" !
Cheers Simon

To be fair the idle temps generally do go up a little bit on water compared to air but its load where you will see huge differances, You're loads will probably only be around 55-60

Just to let all those who responded to my question know. After changing my fan for a silverstone high performance one im getting much lower temperatures all cores hover about 29c. cheers

Thats the older version of the PA? I would say its a little high, iv got 2 4870's and my cpu cooled by a double and single XSPCrap rads and im about the same for cpu temp so with quads running hotter i guess its abut right as your rads better.
