Appealing to those who have the knowlegde to answer what is probably a very simple question.

In a rush to get an order in before the end of the financial year, yesterday I placed an order for various components to upgrade my PC. The mobo I have gone for is the Abit AW9D Max, and with that, I have ordered a Gigabyte GF 7600GS SLI 512MB DDR2, PCI-E Silent Pipe graphics card.

Now, I am not a gamer, so I am not fussed about doubling up the number of graphics cards I have, but I now note that the Abit board is a Crossfire board, but the graphics card is an SLI.

Are these incompatible then and should I have gone for an X---- Radeon instead, or will the 7600GS also use the same PCI Express x16 and be OK with the mobo?? Reason I picked that card is because it is a silent heat pipe flavour so quieter in use when in my office.

Sorry to ask a numpty question, but I have lost contact with the cutting edge of technology since I last specced up a self build PC and need your help!
