Help keeps crashing on start up!

Have mentioned in earlier posts was having great difficulty with my HD4850 from crashing in MW2.

Read else where that lowering stock speeds has solved the prob as XFX stock speeds were too high and unstable.

Anyway loaded RivaTuner lowered stocks (probably too far!) crashed on restart. Restarted in safe mode unistalled Rivatuner, but i think it is still locked at lower settings. How can i get it back to stock speeds please. Can't see or get into Cat Control Centre before it crashes. Screen flashes, some corruption on screen, then goes blank. Have to restart.

Many thanks in advance – i'm pulling my hair out/. Don't want to do a clean install.
 
easy.

f8 on startup and select run in low graphics settings on boot and when in windows uninstall your graphics drivers, reboot and reinstall them reboot and done.
 
Crashes in low res mode – not the best fix, but can i manually remove the folders associated with ati as you cannot uninstal from safe mode.
