Help Keyboard and mouse not working

After Intalling a new HSF I booted into windows and got a BSOD. I repaired windows using chkdiskr. I can now get into the windows login screen but the mouse and keyboard will not work, the mouse is lit but with no laser. I can also use the keyboard in BIOS but not windows.

Any idea what the problem is??

I had this same problem once, a real pain

I had to back up all my work and reinstall... hopefully someone on here can give you some better advice

yeah a reinstall would defo be a last resort

Anybody else have any ideas? :confused:

Which version of Windows Xp or Vista, does it work in windows safe mode?

You could try to remote control your PC providing you have that software on your PC and your ethernet drivers are working? :confused:

XP PRO, same situation in safe mode, keyboard and mouse just don't work lol I really wanted to watch some xmas movies

USB drivers missing? Have you tried a PS2 keyboard and mouse? if you have the sockets of course!
