Help, lAppy DVD drive stoped reading?HELP ASAP!!!

HI all, today i turned my lap top on and it was wrkin fine, i crashed and i rebooted, ever since then my dvd drive cant detect any disks that are thier so i thought hmm ok i will wipe everything (was planning on this anyway) so i formated the hard drive, full re install. just got into windows now and WTF?? It could read the disk when installing windows but now all i get is DVD-RD drive (D) nothing else shows up , its just not detecting any disks? HELP"!

try taking the drive out and putting it back in, had the same prob with a desktop dvd drive for a while, just took it out 5 mins ago an put it back in, works fine now
