Hi,

I'm having some weird problems with my Dell Latitude D600. Yesterday it started giving an "NTLDR is missing" error message. I tried re-installing windows (XP Pro) and that seemed to fix things.

Today I try to boot it up and it gets to the windows loading screen (Windows logo), but then after the screen goes black, rather than going to the XP login screen it just hangs.

I tried booting from the XP CD to try reinstalling windows again and again it hangs once I select "install windows XP" option.

I tried booting in safe mode and it re-set itself halfway through and then tried to boot normally again (and hung again).

I'm now completely out of ideas now of how to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Fred

/EDIT - Managed to get it to boot from WIn XP CD on 3rd attempt. Am re-formatting HDD and re-installing windows again...
