Help LaTeX users! (Converting images)

Currently writing up my dissertation in LaTeX and it's going ok. However, I cannot for the life of me find an acceptable method of converting Visio (.vsd) drawings into .eps files without losing the quality of the text, the diagram or both! Can anyone help me out?

I am using WinXP, writing LaTeX in LEd.

Any advice appreciated.

I had a similiar problem with making thumbnails of a document in a LaTeX document. I had to Print it to PDF and then save to EPS in Acrobat.

What are you using? If you're using SWP, you can use PSD files. (I guess you would do VSD->PDF->PSD)
