Hi, I recently did a build in a Corsair Air 540, as usual there is always something that crops up that you hadn't quite considered that temporarily stops play though !

On this occasion the case comes with dual USB 3.0 front ports that fit onto the motherboards 20 pin header via one 20pin male connector.

Unfortunately the case cable isn't long enough to reach, so I need a female to male 20 pin (think it's physically 19 pin as the connector has one blank) USB 3.0 extension cable, preferably in black.

I've Googled most of the night but haven't had much luck, found some blue ones from China on ebay but dont fancy waiting 3 weeks for delivery.

Not sure if the description of what I need is correct or if there's a special name for the cable, but there seems to be a lack of vendors that sell them.

Any help would be very much appreciated, as no front USB ports is starting to irritate me.

Thanks in advance.

It's an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme, the socket is in about as awkward a place as it possibly could be, cheers Breadturbo, I'll get onto them now.

Just got home and found a message from Corsair waiting for me. It took them just over an hour to get back to me, and on a Sunday.

They are sending out an entire front panel replacement, free of charge with a built in longer cable.

Best customer service ever, don't even have to pay for delivery.

Cheers for the advice Breadturbo, well chuffed.

Corsair are always epic with service, one time 'I' broke the tabs holding the front fan cover on my case and messaged them to ask if they sell them separately, they asked when I bought it and sent me one out next day for free :)

top notch.
