HELP - LOST PC KEYS FOR SIDE PANNEL ??

Thermaltake/thermatake soprano base unit silver, i have lost the key to the side of the the panel and its locked so i cnt get in to sort my motherboard out,

Any one got any ideas where i can get keys from
If they can be copied
If they are case specific or generic for all these cases made
If any one has a spare i could borrow to unlock it with and send it back
 
Not sure if their case specific, if not i think i may have one lying around somewhere off the same case.


Or the alternative,

Get out the drill!
 
If it's a normal shaped key then you'll easily be able to use a couple of paperclips to open it, assuming you understand the basics of how a lock works.

If it's one of those hollow circular ones, such as a kensington lock, search on youtube for kensington lock and you'll find a few techniques.
 
You can often use a plastic tube, like that from a ball point pen to open them. (If it's a round lock).

Search it on youtube, there's loads of vids of bike locks being unlocked like this.
 
lol funny enough ive lost mine aswell, been lookin for it for about a week now since upgrading afew parts, luckly mine was unlocked :D
 
Use a small shaped charge. If it all goes horribly wrong, then wheel out the classic "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" line. Make sure your Micheal Caine impression is up to scratch first though.
 
Looking at the keys for my Thermaltake case, they have a number stamped into them so I’m guessing they are unique to the case. I’ve never seen the point of locking my case, surly if someone is going to nick parts they would just take the whole case?

As for opening it without the keys, could you just bend the case slightly? I’ve just tried this to see what happens and both side and front panel open surprisingly easy with no damage to the case.

Looking at the case it looks like it has very similar locks to mine, I have a Armor Jr.
