hi,
has anyone here got one of these sound cards?
i cant seem to get the coaxial output to work :( all the analogue outputs are fine(can get 5.1 that way) but thers zilcho coming from the speakers when i try it via the optical out. tech support say i should enable the dig' out via the control panel..damned if i can see it though, lol.
any help appreciated,
steve.

Tried the latest drivers?

Is the digital signal coming out of the card in the correct format for the decoder?

The Revo 7.1 can do PCM, plus passthrough of AC-3 and DTS, according to M-Audio's website.

Also - there is no optical out on the Revo7.1 that I can see.
There is coaxial however.
You are plugging the right cables in the right holes aren't you?

Does your control panel look like this:

Once you choose Digital, it changes the screen to say "Digital Output Mode - no adjustment possible" so I think that might be the reason.

yep,thats it......
so,i put it on the digital option and if its possible it will allow me to adjust the sound etc?
ive changed it to that screen before but it was blank:( should there be speaker settings etc on it? the manuals vague on this...
thanks for the help.
steve.

I don't use the Coax so unfortunately I can't test it personally.

It's unclear from you post, but have you already tried setting it to Digital? Once you switch, you'll see just one slider option under Output Mixer, which said SPDIF output on my machine. I get a blank screen on Speaker Setup tab (except a big Digital Output Mode icon) so I guess you can't make any adjustment whilst in SPDIF output mode.

If it still doesn't work when you switch to Digital Mode, that's my one and only suggestion gone...
