Help make marketplace cheeper

Dont like the prices, dont buy stuff off it.

Personally I have no problems with the pricing, apart from charging to change your username, but this is potentially a good thing as it puts idiots off doing it innapropriately.

(BTW - I am all for it being cheaper, however, I just dont agree with that argument saying the current prices are OTT)

What a completely pointless waste of time. Nothing wrong with the MP as it is.

Most people would agree that its overpriced i think

And apathy never changed anything

I belive Apple bowed to pressure with the nano and its easy scratched screen?

They would have had to acknowledge the problem at some point anyway what with the amount of faulty screens, regardless of some insignificant net poll.

Exactly.

The problem is that while there are still enough people willing to pay for the stuff at a certain price then they will sell it at that price. It's the most simple rule of economics.

Thing is, what exactly is overpriced? All you can buy with the points aside from XB Arcade titles are themes and pictures and lets face it - they're sheer crap.

I've not looked at that petition and don't intend to because MS will be in fits of laughter over the no doubt childish comments already on it anyway. Marketplace won't change just because of a whining petition.

As for the lame Oblivion horsie armour, well yes it's overpriced but it's not MS's fault there. Totally crap 'mod' anyway, given that horses imo are completely useless.

I don't think the items are overpriced. I don't know what percent the developer gets for theme packs etc, but they get ~70% for XBLA games, so thats good. Overall the prices are fine.

Besides, the best way to protest is not to buy it! It is that simple.

In a hypothetical world where large corporations looked at what their consumers were saying:

<Microsoft look at petition>

<Microsoft look at sales from XBL>

<Microsoft laugh>

There is one thing that can change that though :) Any company big or small relies on image, they also need to manipulate the press as best they can... a lot like a government (until companies own the government, oh wait, they already do). Anyway - if the mass media reported it in a very bad light, MS would pull the plug fairly quickly since it would improve their image (and prevent the image going down) and therefore lead to more products being sold in the long run :)

But ye I agree with you completely, they don't care about petitions involving the minority. They care about $$ and thats about it. MS are one of the biggest corporations in the world, and funnily enough their customer care is very, very good - good customer care must lead to an even higher turnover - record industry take note.

This is a Noob question but can live be used for free at all or does everything cost.
Silver is free which allows you to download free content (demos, trailers) but to play games over Live it needs a paid yearly subscription, RRP £40 but it can be had cheaper.
