ok, I have just recieved a phone call with a question (that I sort of answered, but am hoping some of you gurus can give me a better answer and make me look good )
a friend has a
Belkin Wireless G 125 router (qith is 125mbps)
and a Zoom 4410 Wireless-G USB Adapter (Zoom 140 Speed Booster for up to 140 Mbps effective rate*)
but he is only getting the usual 54mbps
Of course (as i told him) 54m is more than enough to handle he 4meg broadband (he only actualy gets between 1.7 and 2.3 on wired, and actually gets 2.5 now he has gone wirelss) but he wants to see 125mbps because he has payed for it (the router)
so, does any body have an idea why they arent comunicating at the higher rate, or how to activate the speed boost on the adapter.
thank you in advance
