Help making a good site using wordpress

I've set up a new bussiness and am in the process of making a website, i'm using wordpress and twenty eleven as the theme. I am finding it very restrictive as i cant seem to do the things i want.
I want to set up a table on one page and cant seem to find out how to do it.

try a different theme, I recommend nomnom for starters, that allows a lot more tweaks
Try using pages instead of posts, also make sure that pages don't have comments...

and tables, why do you want a table?
There are plugins that should help if you want to go down this route wp-tables reloaded for example

For what you have created I would say wordpress is overkill, any basic html program would give you a much better looking site.

possibly agree with above, however, now I'm experienced with Wordpress I can get a site up and running in hours..plus if there are updates, then anyone can fo it pretty quickly with very little skill.
