Help me become wireless

hello, im thinking of going wireless, cos my pc is upstairs w/out internet, and i miss my gaming!

i have cable telewest broadband tv/phone/internet all in one thingy.

i was thinking of getting the following:
ROUTER:
Linksys WRT54GL-UK Wireless-G Broadband Router/4-Port Switch (NW-052-LS)
WIRELESS CARD:
Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter (NW-003-LS)

any thoughts / advice most welcome.

ive now had another recommendation:

Netgear WG311 54mbps 802.11g Wireless PCI Card

and

Netgear WGR614 802.11g 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Firewall Router

some say theyve had loads of bad reviews, others say cheaper and more reliable.

cant i just get a definitive answer?
