hey there, I'm hoping to start a project to create a product to build and sell for the short-term. I was thinking originally about a pc in a micro-ATX case, with an integrated - modded PsOne screen built into the Top of the case, and 2x 300GB harddrives in seperate HDD caddies for easy removal along with a nice wireless card.
The idea would have been to serve as a media machine/server. I'm not really that sure of its worth going for. Could somebody whos done something similar comment? I'm not really sure if theres a demand for such things, but it would be nice to get a foothold and sell a few.
Its just that with the wireless DVD players with hard-drives, some of that is covered. they are pretty expensive , but this would cost at least double I would think.
another idea would be to get and modify cases so that they are much more accessible. I'm really not sure about this though. I like the idea of having a modular case! wouldnt it be nice if you could just click your hard-drives into your case without wires? I have so many small ideas. turning them into a useful coherent product is difficult though XD.
I just really want to sink my claws into something nice and interesting, yet productive, so any ideas would be very appreciated
