Help me break my crappy work PC!

if you do go for the psu voltage switch, make sure to switch it back just in case they suspect foul play :p and hope they dont dust for prints, better yet, wear some gloves haha :D

^^ You need your board with a corrupted bios and a bios chip from your mates identical PC.
Put his chip in your board and boot up with a bootable floppy or CD, have the bios update utility and the bios file in the floppy, CD drive, swap the bios chip while the PC is running in Dos with your bios chip. Flash the bios with the new bios update. Reboot and all should be fine.

Alternatively use his PC and place your bios chip in it before flashing. Replace chip and again both machines should work.................

Buy Taser.
Hold taser against any part of PC
Press the zappy zap button
Watch your machine turn off.

Place taser next to someones next
Press zappy zap
Watch them involuntarily fall to the floor and stay there as long as you keep shocking them in the spine as it screws with muscle signals :D

Enjoy life, taser anyone who complains about you having a taser.

OP. Even if you were to deliberately break your computer, i'm sure everything you do on a work computer, is monitored. So they would know you broke it.
So no new computer for you. :)

Just change a jumper over, there may be other problems to deal with though. I set my old motherboard on fire by changing the jumpers wrongly. Oops

I have to say I love the 240v to 120v switch idea hehe. but here is another fun if old picture of something that would be equally as interesting

snap a capacitor off the motherboard. How is anyone know theres ment to be 122 rather then 121. :D If you want some special effects try the psu voltage switch. If you want it sneaky then BIOS flash.

Install Windows Vista on it.

Alternatively, teach yourself electronics and take the PSU apart to find out exactly how it works. Then make sure it's water-resistant to 50m by taking it swimming (hint: it isn't).

This lads gonna lose his job :o

I can see him now scrambling under his desk when he swicthes the voltage selector on his PSU :D

pmsl if he doesnt need new pants he is at the very least going to need a new job ;)

Oh yeah and some anadin for the head ache when he jumps outta his skin lol
