Hi all, my current spec is in my stig

Ill be looking for new

cpu
motherboard
ram
power supply

I would like to reuse

case
gpu
360mm aio
ssd/hard drive

I like playing game like pubg, borderlands, have ordered cyberpunk 2077.

I have a 32" curved viewsonic (144hz) monitor at 2550 x 1440

I would like this upgrade to last quite a few years (5ish) apart from the gpu

The cpus that I think might be the best for me is either i7 9700k or the 3700x, or something else?

I would be looking for top grade items that are very easy to use as im still really a novice when it comes to pc things

So need to choose a motherboard, ram and power supply

Would like the best bang for the buck.

Price wise, i'm not 100% sure, around £700?? but open to offers for the good products

Many thanks
ian

Discounted Corsair RM650 is better priced than 650W Seasonic Focus Gold.

750 lacks discount to compete with Seasonic's pricing.

For Ryzen 650W is certainly enough, unless GPU is really heavily overclocked.
Intel again uses "artistic freedom" in TDP and fully loaded consumption is way higher.

Next-gen consoles in next year will certainly increase heavy loading of higher number of threads.
Those will come with Zen2 based 8 core and very likely 16 thread CPU.
That should also make future multiplatter games well fitting for AMD CPUs.

Extra threads also help with background junk of normal PC.
Which will only increase and get heavier when time goes.

BIOS and possible drivers just likely need some maturing.

If that AIO is as old as CPU hopefully it hasn't degraded/worn much.
Marketing doesn't tell it, but waterpipe coolers have bunch of eventual "fatal failure" causing degradation/wear mechanisms. (lacked by heatpipe coolers)

Thank you.

the gpu is running standard.

The AIO is only a couple of months old.

I was looking at the Antec HCG 850w 80 plus bronze, but cant find it on here anymore.

I keep watching different vids on the cpus, some say 3700x, others i7 9700k, then the is what motherboard to use with each and then the ram.

80+ Bronze was old low end already in start of the decade.
It's very inbalanced with high end priced parts, unless purpose is to maximize room heating power.
And especially 3700X at stock is very frugal in its power consumption.
