Questions -

Can I get started on the build without the CPU until it arrives tomorrow? Or it better to wait? I thought that I could get started by installing the motherboard at least and connect up all the wires etc. for that, which would take most of the time I presume?

Perhaps install the HDDs and optical drives as well? For space reasons when installing the cooler (oh dear god - the Noctua is massive! Didn't expect anything that size. Quite afraid it'll break the mobo in two when it's mounted and 'hanging off it' so to speak), I presume it will be best to not install the RAM, GFX card or PSU before the CPU and cooler?

I remember with the last build that you had to be very careful with mounts because if the mobo came in contact with the case, without the mounts, it would fry it. I'm a bit lost now as to where the mounting points should go. The case and the motherboard both don't seem to have this information?

Personally I would wait before putting the motherboard in the case for the cpu (I always put it in outside the case because of the more open space)

You can always get things like the ssd in and any other ancillaries.

Wait for the time being it will be easier and it only one more day.

I know. Just anxious to get started now :p

Would you install both CPU and cooler before putting the motherboard in the case?

You can put your mobo in now if you wish, just remember to lay the case on it`s side when you install the Cpu, as it wont move when you lock down the clamp. I found it easier to install the cooler with the mobo already fitted, that way you can fit all the mobo screws in, other wise the cooler blocks access to one of the screw holes. Ram you can also fit. Just leave the Gpu until after you have installed the cooler.
