A build with a much better GPU and quite a lot cheaper but you have to assemble it yourself. Its not hard we can help you.

edit: if you need the OS it will be another £80

but you'll still save £250 and the radeon 6950 blows away the GTX 460:

thats a very good system and will do what you need, and being overclocked too with a full warranty is great.

what size/resolution is your monitor?

Made my mind to order this system soon from OC UK . . . :D

unless your scared to build it yourself and OC the cpu yourself (which btw is really easy on these new I5's) my system will give you a lot more bang for your buck. That GTX460 is already a last gen card. The 6950 will last you a lot longer and will give you better performance in games right now plus you save £250!

Best choice by far.

he could have gotten a much better system if he build it himself and OC it himself for much cheaper.

search your feelings you know it to be true

I cant believe a member with as many posts as you would not advise to even attempt to consider the alternative.

And with these posts come a knowledge gained, that allows me to know within the first sentence whether a pre-build or DIY is right for the OP.

right.... this is what he said in his opening sentence:

"I am looking to build my first p.c , must be i5 25000K (Sandybridge) system from scratch ie case + psu ect "

So he wants to build it from scratch and I gave him a great I5 build that was not only £250 cheaper than the pre build but it had a vastly superior gpu.

Yet still you completly ignored my build knowing full and well it would give him much better bang for buck if he were to build it himself.

You pushed him on the pre build which was only really an example but you pushed him on it.

Naturally you having 13 000 posts he listnened to you getting the inferior more expensive machine with the only advantage he did not have to build it which was something he wanted to do for a first time.

The only reason you did not quote him the other build was because of our personal rivalry and that is just spitefull.

Didums, anything else?
