Help me - Buy all new or find motherboard for cpu

Hey all,

I've been trying for weeks now to find a Z77 motherboard without success for my 3770k. I've had a thread up in the MM hoping someone would be selling up but no such luck.

This leaves me two choices - pay through the nose for a refurb / new one (with a long wait from the rain forest) or sell my 3770k and get a 4790k and a new board.

Can anyone advise me which way to go please? I've not had a pc for weeks and this damn laptop won't even run minecraft - let alone TF2 etc!

I would go with the above option, it's still a good board and not worth getting rid of a 3770k at all imo

Thanks for the reply! It was a good board, I've tried to get a couple of b-grade boards from them now, but so far none have been with IO shield and I don't know why - but I won't buy one without! I've found some manufacturer refurbs but they are all around £100. I also need 8 sata ports :/

Just been offered an asus p8z77-v pro for £75. Would you guys go for that? It's not ideal, but it has everything I need!
