Ive been looking at building a new system for weeks now but cant make my mind up on what board to go for  im going to use a e6600 core 2 duo and would like an SLI board that is going to be good for overclocking.
My first choice was the ASUS STRIKER EXTREME but have now changed my mind as the price just seems way to much compaired to other mobo's, but still would remain my first choice if the money was in place.Im now leaning towards the Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce but after doing some reading of reviews there seems to be some stability/overclocking issues with it as well as the north/south bridges running hot :eek
any advice would be great.

Depending on your budget ( from the fact your looking at the striker extreme im guessing quite hight ) then I would go for a

Asus P5K Deluxe or a DS4

Those are both crossfire boards i was really looking at SLI,not that i have two cards but im going to buy a BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB and if i ever felt the need to add another card the board would need to be SLI

They are both killer boards though :D

Anyway, yes you are right with not going for the P5N32-E PLUS, it has horrible memory issues.

SLI wise then the EVGA 680i is a very good choice http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-000-EA

Not much can beat it for performance and its cheap. :) AND it comes with a 10 YEAR Warranty

Thanks for the help, looks like ill go for the EVGA nForce 680i SLi.After reading some reviews it seems its a good overclocker and some early BIOS issues have been resolved.
It also looks realy nice in black the Crucial Ballistix will stand out well :D
Just need to wait on some stock.

I had exactly the same dilemma, and up to a few days ago was really stuck on what to go for.....i was also looking at the Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce.

Although im sure the EVGA nForce 680i SLi kicks ass - in the end i went with the ABIT AB9 Quad GT - now the bios issues have been checked and sorted, its an amazing choice.
