How do I know whether to buy mid tower atx or full tower e-atx cases and question 2 is why do people still buy the antec 300 rather then the 1200? is it mainly cos of price or something

I would think a full tower is more useful for water cooling, and huge amounts of kit eg SLI or Crossfire graphics card setups. Although some people may prefer the larger size of a full ATX case as I would assume they were easier to work on having more room, also it could well come down to prefering the looks of a bigger case.

The Antec 300 is a nice budget mid tower, but can't really be compared to the much more expensive Antec 1200 which I'm not even sure is on sale anymore other than second hand.

Anyway if your looking for a new case you will most likely want a good mid tower so look into something like a Coolermaster 690 II, HAF 912, etc. If your solely interested in Antec though, they have actually released a new case the Antec 100, which I think is the replacement of the 300.

I haven't got a budget for this really but I don't really want to spend too much. I mainly want it to have a window on the left face with led case fans to come with it. Mid tower sounds good as long as it will fit the ASUS HD 6870 I'm gonna get which is obviously bigger then usual.

need more details .. what sorta spcs you planning on putting in there? watercooled or air cooled? how many hard drives.

Hmm, Well the only case i've had experience with thats a mid is my NZXT M59 .. its a nice case but cr*p cable management ... Most people will probally reccomend the antec cases .. like the 300 or something .. Have look round on the forums see what people are using ? ..

i'd recommend getting a case like this if you want a windowed case for quite cheap. I have the more expensive version in the storm line-up the storm sniper but that's more expensive at around £120.

I can personally recommend the Coolermaster CM 690-II. Not windowed, but a separate one can be bought from OcUK for about £15.

The case has brilliant airflow with plenty of fan spaces with dust filters. If you're only using one HDD, you can remove the bottom four HDD bays and improve airflow or make room for a double rad in the bottom. Build quality is excellent, with a good secure tool-less system and thumbscrews on the side panels and PCI brackets. Cable management is good, with plenty of holes in the motherboard tray, and enough space behind it to route all your cables.

Cooler Master HAF 922

Excellent case for air flow and cable management. Very strongly built as it is a steel case. Plus it is much larger for a mid tower case. Better than antec 902 and even storm scout.

You could get storm sniper but it is selling for around £120 and interior is similar to HAF 922 although has slightly larger exterior:). I would say that it is probably the largest mid tower case afaik
