Hey guys,

I currently have 2 24" monitors in a dual setup and one of them is starting to die so feels like time to upgrade. I'm after a 27" 1440p monitor but the amount of choice is ridiculous! Are there any hard and fast recommendations from you guys?

For reference, I have a 980Ti and i5 6600k. Budget is around £300-£400 I guess. I've been looking at the Dell S2716DG but all the comments about TN panels and colours is putting me off a bit. Have to admit though, my current monitors are TN panels and I can't say I've noticed anything? Maybe because I've never had an IPS panel..

Is the jump to 144Hz worth it? Or is it better to stick with 60hz IPS for now and get a 144hz in a few years when the prices have come down a bit?

Thanks for the help!

Dell u2715h is my recommendation. 1440p 27inch 60hz ips. Be warned it'll make your 2nd monitor look naff so you'll end up buying 2.

Higher hz is good if you play competitive games where it matters. E.g. csgo. And your gpu can actually get that fps. You'd want variable refresh rate too tho and that gets pricey.
