I am seriously considering moving from Virgin Media to a new ISP because of the terrible speeds I have been getting lately, online gaming is impossible! Its a shame really because the service has been perfect for about 1.5-2 years before now.

I have no idea what the decent ISPs of today are so I come to you guys for some advice. At the moment I pay £30 for 4mb, unlimited cable so I would like at least 4 mb from the new service(obviously the faster the better, but no less than 4mb) at around the same price. Ideally I would like for it to be unlimited, too as I can download quite a lot sometimes, for example I have downloaded 305gb since the 14th of February 2007.

So yeah, spec me a new ISP please!:D

Cheers.

EDIT: ADSL or cable, I don't mind.

phone up and complain, i did after the skyone problem and i am currrently getting 20mb inet, unlimited calls and their large tv package for 51.00 and then only another 10 for hdtv ;)

complaining works wonders :D

I just went on the Be website and it seems like I can't get it where I live which is a bummer because 24mb unlimited broadband for 22 quid is amazing! :(

That wouldn't do anything to speed up the crappy network around where I live though.

Enta or AAISP will give you a /28, among others. That said, I can't say I've seen any speed issues with Zen recently - are you sure it's their problem, and not something between you and them (which would be the same with any ISP)?

There isn't a "best ISP". There's the better ISP for you, with whatever features you want.
Shortest contract term across ADSL ISPs is a month.

I c wut u did ther >_>

Nah seriously, I mean I dont want an expensive one, dont need a uber fast one

only using for pc gaming, xbox live and downloading so i was wonder what ppls experiance was with isps is all

Depends how much you download, how much is "expensive" and how much is "uber fast". As I said, there is no "best ISP".

I dont download a lot really :p Maybe 10gb a month.. just guessing though

Expensive asin £20~ month, and Im on 20mb right now, well leeching it off my dad and its too fast for what i do so thats uber fast ;)
