Hello All.

I have just got rid of my 22" x 3 eyefinity setup as I need to downscale to save some room.

I have a dilemma on what to replace it with.
My uses:
I do lots of coding due to my job, so this would be my main use.
I would also be playing games on it, I suppose casual gaming.

I have in the region of £400 for one monitor.

Choices:
A: Buy a Korean import, those 27" 2560 x 1440 monitors and chance it for overclocking, this would save my quite a bit of money.

B: Buy the 24" BENQ gaming monitor

C: Buy one of the 21:9 widescreen monitors

Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Shane

i have a DELL U2913WM and i love it, all i can say :)

if it's going to be your ONLY monitor though, i'd probably go with a 27" 2560x1440 and the 21:9 is really small in the vertical department. i have a secondary 24" 1920x1200 for browsing and stuff, so it's not a problem for me.

for games and movies though, the 21:9 is splendid.

Another option would to buy a DGM IPS-2701WPH from here but that has no hope of overclocking.

I would buy the korean choice but I am a little worried about issue/returns etc
Has anyone any opinion on the extra 3yr warranty that can be purchased on the auction site?

must say i like the look of these korean jobbies and quite tempted but knowing my luck i would get a duff and have all sorts of problems getting it exchanged
