I currently have 2x2 gb installed in a "Argon Extreme Intel Core i3 550 3.20GHz @ 4.40GHz Overclocked Bundle" I got a year or so back, and want to upgrade to 8gb. I really want to plug and play and not have to manually overclock and find stability as that was the reason I bought the bundle.

I have been looking at "Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (PXD38G2133C11K) [PXD38G2133C11K]"

Is this the correct memory for this motherboard (gigabyte H55M-UD2H), and will it just be a case of installing and then applying the same settings?

Many thanks in advance.

The patriot should work fine at 1600mhz, and it should auto tighten the timings for the lower clock via the spd, but to what exactly i dont know.

Thanks for the suggestions! My current memory is running at 764mhz 9.9.9.24 according to cpuz. Would this memory be better?

"Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (PXD38G1600LLK) [PXD38G1600LLK]"

It seems to have better timings than the Geil one you linked and is cheaper.

Also about the installation, should I expect the same clock speed from the cpu or will it be limited with the extra ram? Should it be straight forward?
