Help me choose please

I'm dithering over which monitor to buy
I currently have a samsung 226BW and am happy with the size of 22"
I'm Itching for a higher resolution though so am looking for a good replacment 22", I'm not really bothered about a HDMI connection as it will only be atttached to my pc.
Currently trying to decide over these :-

forgive my monitor noobness but what advantage does a e-IPS panel offer

Doh just noticed the dell is a 1680 x1050 panel isnt it , The reason for my change of monitor is to go 1920 x 1080
