got an old mac mini core 2 duo running windows 10 pro
8gb mem
320gb hdd

running plex, file share, folding and used for downloading

its really starting to struggle with plex. I've got transcoding off but even with some smaller files it wont work (wont play some 480p files but works with other 4k files)

wondering if any of these would make a decent replacement?

not really sure how any of these processors stack up against the ancient c2d
I'm guessing the main contender is the HP but its also the dearest and is refurbed.

any thoughts?

cheers in advanced

only one I`d recommend is this one below all others have poor CPU's.

You can get an Dell Optiplex 3040 with 6500T for around £60-70. Give it another 8GB memory + a proper SSD and it is lightning fast for average work, Bear in mind that win11 is supported only from 8th gen Intel and up (8000 series)
