im looking at 3 cpus
E4400 // E6400 // E5200

which ever i was to choose it would get overclocked but are any of these any good?

Would any of these give me a substantial boost over my E2180 i have at the moment?

E5200. Has been the 'budget' chip of choice for a while. No experience myself but it is meant to OC like crazy and run pretty cool

Well the best of the bunch is the e5200 (might want to consider the e5300 for a quid more). But I guess it depends what you do with it. These chips overclock very well and I have seen many hitting 4.0Ghz.

If you want an even bigger boost in performance, something like this is very nice indeed. Especially if you use multithreaded games and applications.

But if its gaming you use your PC for, you may want to consider a graphics card upgrade for the biggest boost in performance, what are you currently running?

actually i just spotted the the E6300 with the 10.5 multiplier running 2.8ghz so think i,ll go for that one instead.

For a budget chip the e5200 seems to be the weapon of choice. Clock very nicely too.
