Neither. Spend £40-50 more and get R9 390 for that money.

if you dont swap card once every year, i would go with 390

390 Nitro is best pick to me, no catch you get double the memory, performance trading blows with 970, and gets on 390's favor as resolution goes up.
btw personally when i build a PC, i pick a PSU enough for crossfire/sli, just incase i feel like adding one down the road, or stumble on a too good of a deal to pass, so 750-850 watt psu, would be better pick than 550 and future proof, but if you know you would never add 2nd gpu, the one you picked is fine
