Hi guys, I've more or less decided on the case to build my new PC up from, the Fractal R4. My aims are to have a powerful gaming PC that can also be fairly quiet and unintrusive to look at.

My budget is £800/900 I've already got a Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Windows 7.

My current Rig is as follows.

AMD FX-4100
8GB Kingston Hyper X DDR3
M5A78L Asus Mobo
GTX570 PNY
128GB Kingston SSD
Asus DX2 Sound
3 Storage HDD
Corsair CX 600W Non Modular PSU
Lancool K58 Case

I'll be looking to reuse the SSD, the RAM and the Soundcard. But I'll be after a new Mobo, CPU, CPU Cooler, Graphics and Modular PSU, and a 2T Storage drive. I may also consider a extra SSD ontop of the current one for storage.

Currently I've got as far as this ...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-065-HS - HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-374-WD - Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-004-BQ - CPU Cooler

I'm fairly easy in terms of going down either the Intel or AMD route, but I would like the motherboard to be a dark one so it matches the inside of the case and also a full ATX size so that it will look neater as cables will have less distance to travel and more space.

So can anyone help me complete this spec please :)

What do you need the soundcard for?

On-board sound is better these days and will live up to your expectations for sure, no need for a soundcard.

Onboard sound is better than my current Asus DX2? Have you got any reviews that show this as I'm not convinced :)

I've heard contrasting opinions - a fair few people say that the difference when installing a high performance sound card is phenomenal.

Thanks for the that,

I know OCUK stopped stocking them. But I am buying it from somewhere else :)

Edit - Would you recommend this case over the Fractal? I just had a quick look at the reviews and it looks good!

Well the R4 is a nice case but they were turning up damaged, you can take your chances with it from somewhere else.

The Shibobi XL is nice, stulid has a review on here somewhere (I'm too lazy to search). Big fans in it too so they will be quiet. Nice to have the window as you seem to be styling the build and it makes sense to show it off ;)

I can tweak it though still.......
