Help me decide between the acer Predator XF270HU and the newer XB271HU

Hi everyone, i'm shopping for a 144hz 1440p monitor and have narrowed down my choices to these two monitors. Here in the UK I can get the XB271HU for £630 and the XF270HU for £390.
Is the £240 price difference enough to justify buying the newer XB271HU? I currently have a nvidia gpu and will be getting either a 1070 or 1080 in the future, so freesync will be wasted, but the £240 difference is quite drastic so i'm hoping you guys could help me decide.

I will be using this monitor for work also, which does involve some design/photo editing so screen quality is very important. I've heard some models may have fairly serious backlight bleeding issues, have they been fixed in the newer batches?

The price difference is pretty much just for the G-Sync feature which commands a hefty premium.

So the real question should be. Is G-Sync worth the excessive price difference. I'd say personally no its not, but then I use an AMD graphics card and have the 270HU.

Do you have any issues with the backlight bleed or anything else on your 270u?
