Guys - thinking about this myself - bottom deal...

Since August 2010 i've used 6.9GB on my iphone 4 so not sure the 500mb will cut it... however it is 12month contract and a free phone, i'm already paying £30 with Vodafone for current contract (18m, 300min, unlim text, 1gb net) it ends Feb 27th but can upgrade now.

I didnt want the SG2 for 18months as the 3 will be out this year but do want a change...

My uses?

Whatsapp / Texts / Internet Browsing (limited video streaming)

That's not a bad deal at all.

It will be fine for your usage as long as the video streaming is fairly limited as you say.

I think the white one does look a bit naff though, but not too bad. It's £29 for the black one on the same deal (if it bothers you).

I was just in this dilemma. coming from an sgs, i really couldnt decide what to go for. I coudnt decide between the nokia lumia cyan or the sgs2 in white. I jus loved the matt chassis and size of the nokia and the oled screen but with a lack of customisation and poor app portfolio on win mob 7, i ended up swaying towards the sgs2 which ima rom to ice cream sandwich.

What about deals on the galaxy nexus op? if ur interested? Even though the new nexus has that 1280 x 720 screen, its hardware is frankly lacking and the pentile matrix plays to the detriment of amoled hd imo. I'm with you op on the galaxy s3 though. I'l jus sell the phone and pay the rest outta pocket to get it sim free.

Hardware spec is rumoured to use the cortex a9 based exynos 4212 chip with a mali t604 gpu running in a 32nm fabrication process compared to the 45nm on current soc's. Also bosting an amoled hd + screen and a 12 mp camera. just have to wait for the hopeful unveil at ces in a couple of weeks.

back on point op, i got my sgs2 with 600 mins, 500 texts, unlimted t-mobile to t-mobile, free evening and weekend calls and unlimited interent (subject to fair use policy)...all for £22 a month for 18 months and no down payment :D

The Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone currently but it's not available on particularly good deals unless you want a 24 month contract and I'm fairly certain he doesn't.

Just as an update - Vodafone offered me the same tariff but with a phone cost of £200!! Over 18month it was £29.99

Baring in mind my current monthly tariff is only £30 with unlim texts and 1gb net - I was like WTF - you want me to pay more for less and buy a phone! The salesmen did tell me that by working for Lloyds I get 20% of Voda contracts...

SOLD

Went with the above Deal - free phone, 12month contract and £36-20% ~ £29 a month - so Samsung Galaxy SII for £348 :)

Only thing I lose out on is current number as Voda currently going to Voda... I could get the PAC moved to a PAYG sim and them back again I guess? Really not that fussed though.

Also - selling my iPhone 4 for £225 :)
