Help me decide if I should by AS5...

Hi, was using OCZ Ultra 5+ Silver Thermal Compound, but rather disappointed...

E4300@3Ghz (using Noctua UH12F) the following are some temps for my system:

OCZ Ultra 5+Silver: 40 idle (tried to resit the HSF & reapply thermal paste several times..)
Ceramic Compound (supplied with Noctua): 35 idle -.-........

If I use Arctic Silver 5....will I see temps improvement? & by how much a margin would the improvement be?

When you say Ceramic, do you mean Ceramique? If so, it's about as good as you get.

Assuming you dont have an aluminium HSF, that coolaboratory liquid metal stuff is suppost to be better.

@ Jokester - I thought 5 was better than ceramique?

By 1C, not something to worry about. Plus Liquidpro is messy stuff.
